I work in a flower shop. I don't have any direct pictures, but I can describe a good scheme for you! White, grey and yellow is BEAUTIFUL, by the way. You could have your bridesmaids' all carry the white rose bouquets, and then have them wrapped in yellow ribbon and braided over in grey (braiding is just where the florist takes a thinner ribbon and incorporates it over the base ribbon.) Or, wrapped in grey, braided in yellow...the possibilities go on. Then your bouquet could be wrapped in white and braided in yellow or something. A good yellow rose is called the Skyline rose-- its a beautiful light creamy yellow. Also, think about adding some freesia (Grace freesia is a pretty light yellow shade) to add texture and scent! Make an appointment with your wedding florist to truly discuss what you want for your wedding-- they can offer a lot of options. Also, Sweetheart roses are tiny and light yellow, so you could incorporate those into your bouquet. Your groomsmen and best men could have sweetheart rose bouts! Also, your wedding colors come off to me as very clean and modern. If the wedding is in September, I'd say hold the shower no later then 6-8 weeks before (those 2 months leading up are very hectic).

Find a nice restaurant that caters to smaller affairs like bridal and baby showers. I'd go for a private room. Pick out a menu, desserts, a cake, and even a drink menu. You can even have a small party game, although it's very difficult to conduct one in a room full of chatty women.

The rest will fall into place. Women will often occupy themselves with gossip, etc.

As for who contributes. You can contribute solely or asks other members of the bridal party to help with the cost. If you split everything equally, it will cost a lot less.

Consult the bride's mother and mother-in-law, as well as the bride for a guest list. Also, remember you are allowed to place registry information into a bridal shower invite.

The bridesmaids thought it would be funny to put on a clothesline the different types of underwear to represent the different phases of life and marriage ending with Depends. Now this would have been a perfect gag for a bachelorette party, where all the guests would have been in their 20's and 30's. But not a bridal shower, where at least 75% of the guests were ages 55 to 75.

The bridesmaids totally forgot who their target audience was.

Out of respect for the bride, the guests did not leave, even though they were disgruntled. However, if you write articles or website content that's not geared for your targeted audience, people will leave.

3 Mistakes Most Article Marketers Make That Insult Their Audience

If you're making any of the mistakes, then you are insulting publishers, prospects and readers alike.

Mistake #1: Failure to identify your audience.

I search the Internet all time for articles that can help me build my different online businesses. There are many times that I won't open an article because I don't know if it's for me. And, because my time is valuable, I don't want to waste it on an article that isn't for me. That's a slap in my face. So identify your audience in the title, in the introduction and in the bio box.

Mistake #2: Failure to use examples that resonate with your targeted audience.

Let's say you write a sales article titled, "How to Double Your Sales in the Next 60 Days." And, let's say you use examples from the financial services sector to reinforce your points. Then, you target an online publication that's specifically for IT sales professionals. And, although your tips, tools, information, systems and products may work for a broad variety of industries, if you don't tweak your article examples, to show that you understand my industry - you lose instant credibility. It's an insult to think that you can connect with me, even though you don't show me that you have experience with my particular industry.

Mistake #3: Giving the wrong level of information to the wrong audience

One of my article marketing clients is a career coach who would love to get more 100K+ executive clients. The problem is that every article he writes has basic information that recent college graduates need - not executives who have been through the job searching process many times. If he wants to attract higher-level clients, then he has to stop insulting their intelligence and start writing articles with information that resonate with that specific audience. When you write, you have to keep your audience in mind and write to their needs, wants and desires.

That's why it's important that you write a variety of articles.

However, think of your group - is everyone really going to eat a piece of cake? The reason I ask this is b/c I use to work in a large office where everytime something happened, we had a cake...except no one ate it...some women wanted small portions, some wanted none...remember that if you have 50 RSVP's, several of them may not come.

If you buy the cake at the local grocery, you arent really going to see a difference in price. However, if you go to a bakery, you will see a large mark-up.

I would go with a half, cut the pieces small. If you have one of those large Italian or Irish families that I have, go for the large full sheet cake b/c someone will eat it...

While we will suggest the proper way to hold your bouquet, you will always want to follow what gives you the most confidence and what feels most comfortable for you. The goal is for you to look natural and radiant in your gown and the flowers should compliment you, not overwhelm you or creating too much distraction from the most important person on the day....You!

The hand-held bouquet is most prevalent bouquet today for its casual elegance, its practicality, flexibly and ease for holding. It comes in various sizes from small to large and the handle is actually comprised of the flower stems wrapped in ribbon. The hand-held bouquet is mostly round in shape although it can slightly cascade or have different shapes. This bouquet should be carried with both hands in front of you with your elbows tucked close to you and arms resting at your hips. Even though the tendency may be to carry the bouquet near your chest or beneath your face, you will want to carry your bouquet at the waist instead so that all of the details of your gown are not hidden by the flowers. Perhaps you may want to practice walking and holding a bouquet prior to the wedding so you can become comfortable and hot have to think about it. You want to feel and look natural as you hold your bouquet.

Some brides choose the go with smaller bouquets and in lieu of corsages, some attendants and members of the wedding party like to have nosegays instead. Whether you are the bride or a member of the wedding party, your flowers should be carried at the waist, in front, with arms on the hip as though it was a large bouquet.

And don't forget to tuck in that special vintage handkerchief in your bouquet or tie a ribbon about the handle which contains buttons, pins or remembrances of those special people in your life, past or present. And when the ceremony is over, if you are having a reception, you could place your bouquet on the cake table.
