History of Nainital:
According to a legend King Daksha father of Parwati held a great 'Yajna' but did not invite Parvati and Lord Shiva. Parvati could not accept this direct insult, in her great anger Parvati gate-crashed into the 'Yajna' ground and leaped into the high flames of 'Yajna' fire to end her life. And later on lord Shiva retrieved her half-charred body himself. The local people think that the eyes of Sati dropped in the lake while her body was being carried by Lord Shiva to Kailesh Parvat. thus, the lake was known the name of 'Nainital' or Naini lake.

Nainital (Recent history):
Nainital was founded by Mr. P. Barron in the year 1841. Mr. P. Barron was a European merchant and a hunter from Rosa. Mr. P. Barron was the first European who took great picture to this land. Moved by the beauty of the fresh lake he wrote: "It is by far the best site I have witnessed in the course of a 1,500 miles treak in the Himalayas." The name "NAINI" is copied from a temple to the goddess 'Naini Devi" built on the upper edge of the lake and was damaged by the landslip of 1880. It was replaced by a current structure. The word "Naini" means 'Eyes' and 'Tal' means 'Lake'.

Climate of Nainital:
Nainital is colder than the rest of the hilly area of Kumaon region. During the monsoon, Nainital gets heavy rainfall. The atmosphere, therefore, is wet. The nearest areas of Almora and Ranikhet are heater than Nainital. Humidity in Nainital is less than in other hill stations. The monthly highest and lowest temperature of the town ranged between 27.06 degree C and 8.06 degree C.

The very controversial switchblade knife has been around a very long time. This blade is the size and shape of most of you average pocket knives but with a  twist.  With the push of a button a spring pops the blade out and is ready to be used.  There are two sorts of switchblades one opens though the top, and one from the side.

The blade that opens from the side is much like other pocket knives. You push the button and the blade swings out the side like any other knife. The out-the-front or the OTF switchblade, pops out the front as the name suggest. Now there are two different types of OTF blades a single and double action. The single action is when you push the button and the blade pops out and then you have to manually push the blade back in. The double action is the same this the different of that to put the blade back in you just push the button again. These knives have been at the center of controversy for years, because of the popularity with criminals. People that might want to brake the law like these knives for there very quick opening systems.

The concept  of these  spring loaded blades have been around for many years. With examples of them appearing on flintlock pistols and on coach guns as early as 1700s. Then later in 1790s being made a more offered tool. Many of the early examples switchblades are either English, of French.

Right after the civil war in America knife production was industrialized.  That is when the first American switchblade was made. It is called the Korn Patent knife. These blades really took off in the 1890s and where even soled to lady's to put in there sewing kits. Then Italian makers got in to the switchblade game and that is where we get the knives called Stilettos.

Later street gangs started to use these knives and  there started the bad name for switchblades.  People started to think that if they put a ban on them that it would stop gang violence. The US congress chose to make these knives illegal. So in the 1960s switchblades that where made in America where only being soled to the military. Later knife makers found away around these laws by selling switchblades in build it your self kits. Now though this loophole is closed in many states.

The legality of these knives differs for country to country. Although many country's banned them and many more have very strict laws, you can carry them in some country's.  In the United States you can not carry them on federal lands, Indian reservations, military bases, or Washington DC. The Act that limits switchblades also limits Ballistic knives. But other then that the federal government leaves the rest of the decision making to the individual states.

In many states the are out right illegal, and in some they are perfectly legal. Then there are a few that they are legal but with some guide lines. In Missouri, Montana, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas they are illegal, but exceptions are made for antiques and collectors. In Virginia you can own one but you can't sell one. In Rhode Island you can own one but it can't have a dagger, dirk, or stiletto blade. In Ohio you can have one but you have to buy it though a online retailer. In New York you and have one but only if you have a hunting or fishing license.  So of these laws are pretty out there but to each there own.

So you're broke! Doesn't mean you can't still do something special for your Valentine to show how much you care.

Here are some ideas for a cheap, but romantic, date:

1. Nothing wrong with going for a walk. Just make it somewhere special – a place with a view, somewhere that brings happy memories, go window shopping for things you dream about. Just be sure to hold hands.

2. If you can cook, go for the candlelit dinner at home. A little mood music in the background and you've got it made.

3. If you can't cook, so what? Stop at the grocery store, get a ready cooked chicken and a bag of salad, the rest is the same.

4. If dinner doesn't excite you, how about running a warm bath? Have the candles and music ready, maybe a bottle of wine and two big, soft towels for later.

5. A picnic is always a great idea. And if it's too cold to be outside, create a space indoors! Clear an area where you can put a couple of beach chairs or towels. Play Beach Boys or reggae music. Wear sunglasses and shorts. You get the idea! Then have your picnic with paper plates, plastic cups and all.

6. Give a promise list. So you can't afford everything you'd like to give now; make a promise in writing instead. In fact, your promise doesn't have to be for anything that costs money. You could promise to quit smoking if that would make your lover happy. Don't go overboard, though. Remember, you have to keep the promise. And to make it more of a special event, hand write your promise and put it in a box.

7. Forget dinner! Go straight for dessert. How about something typically Valentine like chocolate covered strawberries? Then get a few red flowers (the cheapest variety you can find) and scatter the petals to create a trail to the bedroom. (Assuming your relationship is at this point, of course).

8. Give Love Coupons. Create coupons that your special person can "cash in". Could be for 10 kisses a day for a month, wearing those sexy undies that he/she likes so much but you hate, giving a massage. Use your imagination.

9. Then there's always a movie. Just be sure to get something you both like, and it's probably not a good idea to go for something like the Terminator, unless that turns you both on. A movie marathon of romantic oldies is a winner.

10. There may be poetry readings or lectures that your other half would like. You may hate it, but that's not the point, is it?

11. Here's a novel thought if your sweetheart is the altruistic kind. Volunteer together. Not only will your partner be impressed with your selflessness, you actually will be doing good for someone else.

12. Is your date the sporty kind? Challenge him/her to a game of one-on-one; go running together; play beer-can pong; think of something! Assuming you're up to it, of course.

13. Plan a treasure hunt. This will take some effort to set up. Plan a route that is meaningful to both of you. Write clues to lead your partner from one place to the next. The final destination could be the place you first met, a favorite bar where you could have a drink, wherever.

14. One of my favorites – museums! It's easy to spend hours in a museum. Imagine yourselves back in time; think what it might have been like to meet in a different era. And if the past isn't your thing, consider art galleries, the planetarium, the zoo.

15. Here's a neat one – a photo shoot! Get the digital camera, create a space or go to a favorite place and take pictures of each other. Blow kisses, get goofy or just smile. Later, you can print your favorite shots and you'll have a wonderful memento for years to come.

I live in... Acton. Mainly because when we were looking for a place to buy it was the area we could afford. It also has really nice leafy areas and Victorian style flats. We fell in love with the high ceilings. I grew up in Fulham but it's a bit too expensive!

We own the whole house.... as we bought the flat above. It's a lovely Victorian style house. When you walk around you feel grand! You could say it's an affordable manor house.

The best room in my house is... the dining room because I love having dinner parties and entertaining. That's also where a lot of discussions and decisions about everyday life take place. Dining tables have a lot of history and hold a lot of information.

My style is... more European than Salvadorian, but it's my take on what I think European is. I see the European style from a completely different point of view.

My interior taste is... sophisticated chic, with a touch of nostalgia. I like modern style but I also like the idea of buying old things. We buy quite a lot of antique-looking furniture and I'm into old-fashioned, heritage style but I like to give pieces a new life - a contemporary edge.

My most sentimental possession is... a Victorian armchair which belonged to my partner's grandmother. It was going to be thrown away but we rescued and reupholstered it. It's sentimental because it's something we saved and we foresee looking good with a contemporary take.

My heritage... is important in that I come from a culture where we make use of our available resources. But I've been living in the UK for 18 years now, so have adopted a lot of the lifestyle here.

The oldest trick for updating a room is... to paint one wall of a room in a colour that will make a statement of you; whether that's calm and natural or very bold. Another thing I like is buying vintage fabric and putting pieces inside picture frames, and having a few scattered on a wall, combined with mirrors and pictures.

It feels like home when... there is warmth. That could be achieved with the colours that you choose on your walls or the way you arrange your pictures. I don't like clutter and chaos but I like to feel that the house is lived in.

The interior trend I foresee at the moment is... what I would call 'chic patchwork' - patchwork with an eco conscience but with a more considered edge. That's where the chic comes in - the selection of fabric is more considered. People like the idea of recycling but if it doesn't look nice they won't buy into it.

What really inspired me was... seeing my grandmother run a patisserie - seeing objects come alive in a batch scale, and sharing that with people.

I am proud of... having accomplished an MA at the Royal College of Art, and being the only Salvadorian that have achieved that so far. As well as running my own company for the past eight years.

My favourite design is... Pure Magic. The technology of that product has been around for a long time but most people have used it to make very tacky things. I saw the opportunity to use it on a different scale for a different use. It's being sold in The Conran Shop which is an achievement.

My inspiration comes from... very random thoughts and cuckoo ideas. The candelabra, Pure Magic, were inspired by the idea of a person blowing out candles and melting the candle wax, and the way that would shape it. It was an analogy or a story and that created a product.

I would love to own... everything in Skandium. I love everything in that shop.

I admire... a table called Ventaglio, designed by a lady called Charlotte Perriand. It's not rectangular but has lots of beautifully polished slabs of oak going in different directions; some sides are thin, the others wider so it breaks the archetype of a traditional table. It challenges what a table should be.

If my house was burning I would grab... bread, butter and some ham. The rest ... well, what can you do? At least you can have a sandwich while your house is burning down!

Honestly? No. No matter what you do, water is too, well, fluid, to be contained by aluminum foil. There is a way to seal them using some gel icing....first you place the cookie cutters down on a flat cookie pan, then seal all around the outside using the gel....weight them down and put in the freezer to freeze the gel. Now, using iced water or punch, remove the weight and pour the water in 3/4 of the way to filling the mold, then refreeze. Its a crap shoot, though, as the gel will sometimes loosen. After, to loosen them from your mold, just set the pan on a warmed surface, and let a little bit melt...they'll come right out. Immediately refreeze in single layer so they don't stick together.
There are some really neat ways to do such things...one that works the best is to use candy molds. They are relatively inexpensive...and have the added bonus of being widely available! Afterwards, you can always have an adventure in making your own candy.

Of them, cut may be the most important factor because it so greatly influences the others, but for this discussion we are going to focus on the engagement ring carat size, instead.

A carat is the measurement of weight that is used when discussing stones and jewelry grade metals. A carat is equal to exactly 200 milligrams, which is equal to 0.2 grams. Each carat can be divided into 100 points, so a half carat diamond is 50 points, a quarter carat is 25 points and so on.

Remember, when you are searching for the stone of choice, do not get hung up on carat or size- look for the best example of a diamond which can frequently mean a smaller stone. The reason for that is as complex as explaining diamond value itself.

When a diamond cutter sits down to make that first cut, he is looking at what is essentially a lifeless and rather unattractive gray blob, certainly not the diamond that you think of when you hear the word.
